My BeliefsI believe that a students' expectations and thoughts about education are made early on, meaning it is important to start them off strong. I think that giving them a reason to love learning, while also holding them to the highest standard, both help to create this passion for learning. The students enjoy what they are doing, and they find pride in their success as well.
Technology in the ClassroomTechnology is a tool being utilized more and more each day in the education field. As it becomes more prevalent in everyday lives, it would make sense that it would also become more useful in the classroom as well. Teachers are always finding new websites and tools to enhance lessons and connect most effectively with the students. I find it very important that technology is used in this way to its fullest extent in the classroom, for it is a tool that should not go ignored.

Welcome!Hello, administrators and teachers! My name is Elizabeth Webb, and I am a student at Indiana University studying Elementary Education, along with Special Education. Here is my ePortfolio showcasing the hard work I have put forth into learning more about helpful teaching skills and tools, as well as the lessons I learned in my W200 class at Indiana University. Click on the links at the bottom of the page to find different pieces of my work.
I am looking to teach first, second, or third grade. I love kids, and I have a firm belief that a love for education starts from the beginning, so I would love to have that positive influence on students' lives! About MeI am originally from Greenwood, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. I went through Center Grove Community Schools, where I received a wonderful education and was given an example of what teachers should strive to be like. I grew up loving school and the idea of learning, partially because of the wonderful opportunities that were given to me. My senior year of high school, I even got to cadet teach in a first grade classroom and a third grade classroom, where I learned many lessons that in-class instruction can not provide. Although I knew I loved kids and learning, this experience once again solidified this desire to teach.
A few other interests I have include animals, Disney World, and choir. I have grown up loving animals and I have had multiple pets throughout my life, all of whom I have loved very much. Growing up, my family went to Disney World very often, and I developed a love for the kindhearted atmosphere provided there. I would love to one day decorate my classroom with Disney accessories, hoping they would feel as jubilant to be there as they would be in Disney! Finally, my family is full of musicians, and being surrounded by this, I became a performer myself. I was in show choir, and still continue to love singing and dancing. |
Here you will find the various websites, videos, flyers, and other pieces of technology that I created using the skills I learned in W200 at Indiana University.
